Become a Presenter

Presenters are on the front lines of our mission and vision for The 10 Greatest Gifts Project.

Presenters are our front-line team directly serving parents, grandparents and educators.  Our presenters find our session sponsors and help attract our audiences. They directly share the 10 greatest gifts tools and concepts in their unique way to profoundly serve and transform families. We carefully select, train, certify and coach dynamic, passionate, and highly dedicated individuals to take the 10 greatest gifts  message to the world’s parents, grandparents and educators.

While some candidates may envision a thriving speaking business, other candidates may want to contribute to helping families move upstream on a smaller scale and only hold seminars once or twice a month. Presenters can decide how many seminars they wish to hold each month as long as the minimum of 1.5 seminars per month is reached.

If we were charging per hour for our time to develop, coach and certify our presenters or charging the typical certification fees charged by for-profit companies, the certification cost would range from $2,000 to $4,000. Thankfully, we’re a nonprofit organization with other sources of funding and a large group of volunteers. Our entire fee for certification, licensing and coaching is $265. This fee includes all written and digital materials, from certification to marketing materials. There is $65 annual recertification, licensing and coaching fee. Please note that each presenter may have additional start-up fees as they launch their business, such as a laptop computer, a projector, printing costs, and so on. Since we invest so much time and resources in developing a new presenter we ask that each presenter commit to a minimum of 2 years serving the 10 Greatest Gifts Project.

  • “They may forget what you said, but they will never forget how you made them feel.” Carl W. Buechner
  • “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, concerned citizens can change world. Indeed it is the only thing that ever has.”  Margaret Mead

Why become a presenter?

After potential presenter candidates have completed the online application, we will respond by email if we would like to schedule an initial phone interview. Even if a candidate does not get to the first phone interview, that person can still come back at a later time and reapply or apply for a different opportunity as a volunteer. It is at the discretion of The 10 Greatest Gifts Project to accept a presenter candidate after the initial phone interview or seek additional interviews in order to make an informed decision.

Once a presenter candidate is accepted, they will be assigned a trainer and a 4-person peer team to help walk them through the training process. The training process consists of 11 training segments, each of which must be mastered to the satisfaction of the trainer before the trainee can move on to the next segment. The trainer will assist the trainee with suggestions and techniques for customizing their content, delivering a dynamic presentation, and preparing for their final certification. The training process will take between 5-6 months and will ask 6-14 hours of dedicated time per week.

Following completion of the 11 training segments, presenters will be asked to schedule a public session and record themselves presenting the materials to a live audience. This video will be sent to The 10 Greatest Gifts Team for evaluation. Presenters who pass evaluation will receive their certification and will continue working with their Business Development Coach for ongoing advice, guidance, and direction. Re-certification is required each year by sending in a new video recorded within 1 month of the re-certification date.
